Terrible title, awesome show! URINETOWN, THE MUSICAL, winner of three Tony Awards, is a comedy about a dystopian future where a water shortage forces citizens to pay to use public toilets, controlled by a corrupt corporation. The story follows the hero, Bobby Strong, as he finds the strength and Hope, a naive optimist, to lead a revolution against this oppressive system, satirizing capitalism, bureaucracy, and musical theatre itself.
