GCP's production of

The Pirates of Penzance

January 28 - February 19, 2000

Music and Lyrics by Gilbert and Sullivan

Directed by Robert Garrigues

Written by the infamous duo of William Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan, The Pirates of Penzance is a humorous tale of a band of inept pirates and their young apprentice, who was accidentally pushed into piracy through a misunderstanding as a child. When the young pirate comes of age and leaves his mates behind, he encounters a bevy of lovely women who simply swoon over his masculinity and good looks. The rest of the show features conflicts between the pirates, the young ex-apprentice, the lovely girls, and their father, a major general.
