     This play poses a question with which man has concerned himself since the beginning of time..."What happens after death?"...Sutton Vane's answer is in the form of a dramatic fantasy...The curtain rises on a familiar scene...The smoking-room of a modern liner; and the people who appear on the scene are at first glance quite normal...But it is gradually learned that all these characters (with two exceptions) are dead.
