Murray Schisgal's comedy was first produced in 1964. Harry
Berlin is so miserable that his only solution is to jump off a bridge,
but along comes an old friend of his, Milt Manville, who is very prosperous,
but is trying to divorce his wife so that he can marry the woman he loves.
Along comes his wife, Ellen, and the idea of getting his wife to fall in
love with Harry so that he would be free to marry his love. The events
that follow end up in sorrow and agony and the greater misunderstandings,
the more hilarious it becomes.
