This gentle comedy of family life recreates the charm of turn-of-the-century New York. Problems arise within the Day family when Mother Vinnie discovers Father Clarence has not been baptized. The play is a sentimental Valentine saluting a simpler time when Father ruled the roost and Mother ruled the Father. The famous film starred William Powell and Irene Dunn.
