"Nevertheless" written by Stuart Walker

Directed by Prof. Paul Stewart Buchanan and Miss Elizabeth McDonald

The Gainesville Little Theatre and the Jacksonville Little Theatre team up to presents a night of playlets. The children of the Gainesville Little Theatre will present "The Friendly Night" and "Nevertheless"; the Jacksonville Little Theatre will present "Finders Keepers." There will also be a vocal solo by Miss Ella Robertson and a piano solo by Mr. Claude Murphree. This first presentation of the season was held at the grammar school on East University Avenue.
In "The Friendly Night" children learn that darkness holds no terrors, that the spirit of night rules over a world composed of good fairies only. You find tots whose years may be added on the fingers of one hand; they dance, sing and "recite", with charming unconcern; their performance will offer a great amount of appeal. ---Gainesville Daily Sun, January 26, 1928 and January 26, 1928.
