Adapted from the novel, Huckleberry Finn, this musical chronicles the adventures of a young boy that travels down the Mississippi River trying to escape his drunken father. While on the run, he meets up with his friend Jim, who is a runaway slave in search of freedom. This is the tale of their odyssey. Big River won seven Tony Awards including Best Musical in 1985.
