The Gainesville Community Playhouse is a community theater. If you would like to try your hand at acting, we would love for you to audition. We welcome actors of all experience levels. If you wish to audition for a play, you will be asked to do a cold reading which is a small reading directly from the play script.

Address and Box Office

The Vam York Theater is located at:
4039 Northwest 16th Boulevard.

Box Office Hours:Wednesday through Friday, 12 pm – 6 pm and Saturday 10 am – 6pm. The box office opens two weeks before the run of each show until the conclusion of the run. The box office will reopen for day-of-show sales one hour before curtain, at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 1 p.m. for Sunday matinees.

Normal Showtimes Wednesday - Saturday at 8 p.m. Sunday at 2 p.m.
